Automatic approval
Every brand starts on manual approval: nothing goes out until you press Approve. On the Creator and Business plans you can let Echoly approve posts for you. A post is scheduled on its own only when it passes every guard below; anything else waits for you in Needs approval, with the reason written on it.
Turn it on
- Open Brands & accounts and choose the brand.
- Under Approval and guards, pick Automatic.
- Check the guards (below) and press Save settings.
It is set per brand, so one brand can run on its own while another still waits for you. Posts already waiting are not re-checked: approve them by hand, or cancel and send them again.
Only some kinds of posts? Fill in Per post type, one per line, for example daily-stats=auto and announcement=manual. The type is the kind your script, AI app or the editor's Type and facts section gives the post.
The guards
| Guard | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fact check | Every number in the post must also appear in the facts sent with it. A post that says "120 new players" needs {"newPlayers": 120}. Numbers in your brand name don't count. |
| Undo window | An auto-approved post never goes out sooner than this many minutes after approval (2 hours unless you change it). That many minutes before it goes out, you get an email with a link to cancel it. |
| Posts per day | Once the brand has this many posts scheduled or published that day, the next one waits for you. |
| Posts with links per day | The same for posts with a link. X charges much more for those. |
| Blocked words | A post containing any of these words waits for you. |
| Repeats | A post with the same text as one from the last 7 days waits for you. Platforms, X above all, refuse or flag repeated posts. |
| Pause | A paused brand approves nothing. Pause posting on the brand page, or Pause all on Brands & accounts, stops everything at once. |
Sending facts
- Editor: open Type and facts under the post and write them as JSON.
- AI apps (MCP): ask for it, e.g. "Facts: 120 new players, 3 new levels." The app passes them to
create_post. - Scripts (API): send
"facts"with the post. Copy the values straight from the data the post was written from.
When a post was held back
It stays in Needs approval with a line that starts "Not auto-approved:" and says which guard stopped it, for example Fact check: 7 not found in facts or Already 4 posts that day. Approve it as it is, edit it, or send it back.
Worth knowing
- Guards reduce mistakes; they can't catch every one. Keep an eye on the undo-window emails at first.
- AI apps still can't approve anything themselves. With automatic approval on, the guards decide, not the AI.
- Plan limits apply as usual.
