Guide
How to schedule posts to a Telegram channel
Telegram has no built-in way to schedule channel posts from a team tool or an API. With Echoly you write once, pick a time, and the post appears in your channel as the channel, with images, at the same moment it goes to X.
1. Create a free Echoly workspace
Sign in with your email; the first link creates the workspace. Add a brand for your project.
2. Add Echoly's bot to your channel
On your brand page, Echoly shows the bot's @name. In Telegram, open the channel → Administrators → Add Admin, search for the bot by its @name and leave only Post messages on. (On a phone you can also open the bot's link and choose "Add to channel".) The bot can't read your channel; it only posts.
3. Connect the channel
Enter the channel's @name (or its numeric id for a private channel) and press Connect.
4. Write and schedule
Write the post, add up to 4 images, tick the channel (and your X account if you want both), pick a time and approve. Echoly publishes on time and retries if Telegram is briefly unavailable.
Good to know
- Text posts can be up to 4,096 characters; with images the text becomes a caption of up to 1,024 characters. Echoly counts as you type.
- Links in Telegram posts cost nothing extra (unlike X).
- Your scripts or AI agents can schedule channel posts through the API, with your approval or guarded automatic approval.
- The Free plan includes 30 posts a month across all platforms.
