Guide
How to post to X and a Telegram channel at the same time
Many projects announce on X and keep their community in a Telegram channel. Copying every post across by hand is slow and easy to forget. With Echoly you write once, tick both, and the post goes out to X and to your channel at the same moment.
1. Create a free Echoly workspace
Sign in with your email; the first link creates the workspace. Add a brand for your project.
2. Connect your X account
On the brand page, press Connect an X account. You're sent to X to authorize Echoly, so sign in to x.com with the account you want to post from first. Echoly never sees your password.
3. Connect your Telegram channel
Add Echoly's bot to the channel as an admin with only Post messages on, then enter the channel's @name. The Telegram guide has every step.
4. Write once, check both previews
Write the post, add up to 4 images and tick your X account and your channel. The composer counts characters for each one as you type (280 on X; 4,096 on Telegram, or 1,024 when the post has images) and shows how the post will look on X and in Telegram.
5. Pick a time and approve
Echoly publishes to both at the time you chose and retries if a platform is briefly unavailable.
Good to know
- Threads: put a line with only
---between the parts. X gets a chain of replies; Telegram gets one message with the parts joined. - Links: X charges apps far more for posts with a link, so each plan includes a set number of X link posts (the Free plan has none). Links on Telegram cost nothing extra.
- The Free plan includes 30 posts a month, up to 10 of them on X. A post sent to X and Telegram counts once for each.
- Your AI app (through the Echoly connector) or your scripts (through the API) can draft posts for both; they wait for your approval.
