How to schedule messages to a Discord channel
Discord has no built-in way to schedule an ordinary channel message. Echoly posts through a channel webhook at the time you pick, with images, and can send the same announcement to X and Telegram at once.
1. Create a free Echoly workspace
Sign in with your email; the first link creates the workspace. Add a brand for your project.
2. Create a webhook in Discord
Open the channel's settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook. Give it the name and picture your posts should show, then press Copy Webhook URL. You need permission to manage webhooks on the server.
3. Connect the channel
On your brand page in Echoly, paste the URL under Discord channel and press Connect. Treat the URL like a password: anyone who has it can post to the channel. Echoly stores it encrypted.
4. Write and schedule
Write the message, add up to 4 images, tick the Discord channel (and X or Telegram if you want them too), pick a time and approve. Echoly posts on time and retries if Discord is briefly unavailable.
Good to know
- Messages can be up to 2,000 characters. Echoly counts as you type.
- There's no bot to install and nothing reads your server; the webhook can only post to its channel.
- If someone deletes the webhook, Echoly tells you to connect the channel again instead of failing quietly.
- Threads written for X (parts separated by a line with only
---) arrive in Discord as one message. - The Free plan includes 30 posts a month across all platforms; Discord posts never count toward the X limit.
